To ensure that mechanical equipment does not cause industrial accidents, not only must the mechanical equipment itself meet safety requirements, but more importantly, the operator is required to strictly abide by the safety operating procedures. Of course, the safety operating procedures of mechanical equipment vary in content due to their different types, but the basic safety rules are:
1. Wear personal protective equipment correctly. Wear what you should wear and don't wear what you shouldn't wear. For example, female workers are required to wear protective caps during processing. If they don't wear protective caps, they may screw their hair in. At the same time, they are required not to wear gloves. If the gloves are worn, the rotating part of the machine may screw the gloves in, causing injuries to both hands.
2. Perform a safety inspection on the mechanical equipment before operation, run it idle, and put it into use after confirming that it is normal.
3. Mechanical equipment should be inspected for safety during operation as required. In particular, check whether the fastened objects are loose due to vibration so that they can be fastened again.
4. It is strictly forbidden to operate equipment with faults and it must not be used temporarily to prevent accidents.
5. Mechanical safety devices must be used correctly as required and must not be disassembled and idle.
6. The tools, fixtures and workpieces used in mechanical equipment must be firmly installed and must not be loose.
7. Manual adjustment is strictly prohibited when the mechanical equipment is in operation; manual measurement of parts, lubrication, cleaning of debris, etc. are also not allowed. If this must be done, the mechanical equipment should be turned off first.
8. When the mechanical equipment is in operation, the operator must not leave the work station to prevent no one from handling problems.
9. After the work is completed, the switch should be turned off, the tools and workpieces should be removed from the work position, the work site should be cleaned up, the parts, fixtures, etc. should be neatly arranged, and the mechanical equipment should be cleaned up.
